Yesterday on the Oracle Application User Groep meeting, IDS Scheer gave a presentation about the BPA Suite (ARIS). They showed in a demo how to export a business process from the BPA Suite into BPEL. This is already available today.

They also announced that there will be full synchronization functionality available this quarter. This means making changes in the Business Process in the BPA Suite, as well making changes in JDeveloper (BPEL) will be synchronized between the two layers.

The BPA suite is available for download now on OTN:

When you use the demo users for the worklist, like jcooper and fkafka, you may have noticed the times are displayed incorrectly. This is because an incorrect time zone.

The time zone information is stored for each individual user in the file users-properties.xml in the directory BPEL_DIR\integration\orabpel\system\services\config.

For every user you need to change the time zone America/Los_Angeles into your local zone, e.g. Europe/Amsterdam. Make a backup copy first before editing this file!
After making the changes, you need to restart the BPEL PM server.

The list of all available time zones can be found here:

Apparently it is also possible to change the worklist language here, but you need to install the required language packs first, which I have not been released by Oracle.
